Our Favourite Songs About Photos, Videos And Cameras

You may have noticed, we’re obsessed with anything to do with photos, videos and cameras. Whereas we normally give you the scoop on useful apps, sites and gadgets, today we’re reminding you of some techie tunes. We’ve put together a list of our favourite songs about photos, videos and cameras – enjoy!

Photograph – Ed Sheeran

Let’s get the obvious out of the way… Of course, Ed Sheeran’s new single is on the list! Its lyrics are an emotional rollercoaster and the video is full of adorable footage of mini-Ed.

Let Me Take A Selfie – The Chainsmokers

This song is so bad it’s good! Whether or not you’re singing along ironically, we dare you to try not to take a selfie while listening to it.

Photograph – Nickelback

What a tune from our favourite guilty pleasure! We bet you’d forgotten all about this song and thought you couldn’t remember the words to it… (Spoiler: you can and you’re going to spend all week denying you’re a Nickelback fan when people hear you humming it.)

Video Killed the Radio Star – The Buggles

This one is a bit of a golden oldie but it’s still our favourite video-themed song, without a doubt.

Hey Ya – Outkast

So, this one isn’t exactly about photos but who can resist singing along when Andre 3000 sings ‘shake it, sh-shake it, shake it like a polaroid picture’!? Though, it’s worth noting that Polaroid actually released a statement warning people that shaking the photos can damage the images.

Video Phone – Beyonce ft. Lady Gaga

Kudos for the freaky video and making the term ‘video phone’ not sound like a phrase your granddad uses to work out what kind of contraption an iPhone is.

Kodachrome – Paul Simon

This is another blast from the past. For many of us, Paul Simon is a bit before our time but trust us, he’s worth the time travel. Stick this tune on and pretend you know how to put film in a camera.

Cameras – Good Ones Go – Drake

This is one of Drake’s less popular songs, but we’ve always got time for Drake.

If you’ve lost or found photos, please report it to us to return the memories to those who made them.
